ABOUT
Jerry Bernar is the lead engineer at Yanke Bionics and a State of Ohio licensed, ABC certified prosthetist. Over the past 20 years, Jerry has played a key role in advancing the technology used at Yanke Bionics, helping keep the organization at the forefront of orthotics and prosthetics. His work spans the integration of advanced prosthetic componentry in patient care, early adoption of CAD/CAM processes, and the implementation of robotics and 3D printing in production.
With a broad understanding of advanced O&P technology, clinical application, and production workflows, Jerry is able to adapt these tools to patients at all functional levels and help develop effective, individualized plans of care. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, woodworking, and restoring classic cars.

Brendon Boxler is a dedicated Prosthetist and Orthotist Assistant committed to helping individuals regain mobility, independence, and confidence. His clinical work is uniquely shaped by personal experience. After a traumatic accident in 2018 and years of complications, he made the decision to undergo a below-the-knee amputation in 2024. That journey strengthened his resilience and deepened his understanding of the physical and emotional challenges our patients face. As an amputee in a clinical role, Brendon approaches care with empathy, technical precision, and a strong focus on functional outcomes. He is passionate about guiding patients through recovery and empowering them to return to meaningful, active lives. Outside of work, he is a proud husband and father to three amazing boys—Gabriel, Luke, and August. His family is the foundation behind his commitment to serve others with purpose and integrity.

Her clinical focus includes complex orthotic management of the upper limbs, back, hip, knee, ankle, and foot, as well as care for new and established prosthetic patients. Jackie takes a patient-first approach rooted in clear communication, consistency, and trust. She personally manages all evaluations and follow-ups, takes time to explain treatment options, and works closely with referring providers to support successful outcomes and insurance compliance. With over 10 years of experience across orthotics and prosthetics, including a residency at Snell Prosthetic & Orthotic Laboratory, Jackie brings practical problem-solving to complex cases. Renee Horn is a certified prosthetist orthotist native to Akron, Ohio who specializes in helping amputees regain their independence through prosthetic fittings of both lower and upper extremities. Renee enjoys combining art and science in her approach to customizing each prosthesis to its user. She believes in very open communication and a collaborative approach with all parts of the rehabilitation team to provide the best results possible for patients. Prior to being a clinician, Renee was a lab technician that worked on both prosthetics and orthotics, which has helped create a well-rounded exposure to her clinical role in the field. He began his career in the pedorthic field at an early age while working in his godfather’s custom-made shoe shop, where he developed a strong foundation in footwear modification, fit, and patient care. This early hands on experience sparked his long standing interest in pedorthics and prosthetics. She’s committed to making the clinic a positive, open space where patients feel informed and confident about their care. Since joining Yanke Bionics in 2023, she has built a strong clinical foundation by training closely with some of the region’s most experienced clinicians, allowing her to develop her own well-rounded approach to care. Born and raised in the Youngstown area, Sophia enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Kevin Montini is a Board-Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist with over 30 years of experience. He specializes in lower limb prosthetics and orthotics with a goal for his patients to maximize their potential and regain their ability for independence and return to a normal life. With so much experience, Kevin understands the importance of listening to the patient to understand their goals, knowing there are several options to help them get to where they want to be. He uses a team approach that includes the patient, physician, and therapists to formulate a plan that he will quickly put into action. Whether he is helping a patient as challenging as a traumatic hip disarticulation to walk and return to work or simply providing foot orthotics to an elderly patient with foot pain so she can once again dance, Kevin has found this to be an emotionally rewarding career. When Kevin isn’t practicing O&P, he enjoys skiing, rafting, biking, grilling and the peaceful Stephen King novel.

ABOUT
Noi Phavixay is a Registered Orthotic Technician and Certified Orthotic Assistant who has been with Yanke Bionics since 1991, specializing in the lower extremity management of complex knee, ankle, and foot conditions. Born in Laos, Noi brings a deep sense of dedication and perspective to his work and has developed strong, long-standing relationships with both physicians and patients through his commitment to high-quality care. Known for his caring and compassionate approach, combined with extensive technical expertise, Noi helps patients feel well supported and confident in their care while achieving meaningful functional improvements. He has recently completed his Pedorthic-precertification course and will be sitting for the certification exams in the near future to further expand his clinical expertise. Outside of work, Noi enjoys golfing, fishing, and hunting.

With over 30 years as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist, John Tsoras brings extensive clinical expertise gained through work with multiple leading O&P organizations. His background spans prosthetic and orthotic design, fitting, and long-term patient care. Known for a collaborative, patient centered approach, he works closely with physicians, therapists, and other allied health professionals to develop coordinated, individualized treatment plans that support mobility, comfort, and functional goals. Outside of work, John enjoys home improvement projects, playing golf, and exploring opportunities in real estate.

ABOUT
Gene is a Certified Prosthetist with over 40 years of experience in the fitting of prosthetic devices. Although most of the patients that he cares for are lower extremity patients, he does take a special interest and specializes in upper limb devices. He has an interest in planning and designing unique upper limb devices to help people with limb loss and limb difference improve their function as well as return to activities. Gene has been trained in the MyoBock program, as well as the Utah Arm, CoAPT System, Bebionic hand, and the Taska hand.
